Add a Touch of Luxury to Your Bathroom with Our Master Bathroom Ideas

    July 25, 2017
There’s one thing that all luxury master bathrooms have in common, and that’s their ability to make us feel good. A luxurious bathroom makes you want to breathe a sigh of relief at the end of the day. It makes you want to treat yourself to a hot bath. It makes you feel like your bathroom is much more than a bathroom. There are so many ways to add that essential touch of luxury to your master bathroom. Whether your style is subtle and serene or bold and daring, our master bathroom ideas will have you inspired to create the bathroom you’ve always dreamed of. Light it up Good lighting is a master bathroom essential, and not just because it’ll make getting ready in the morning easier. The style and type of lighting you choose can change the atmosphere in your bathroom. It’s best to choose a soft light that isn’t too harsh on the eyes, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. To compete with some of the most refined luxury bathroom designs, consider a chandelier to take your master bathroom to the next level. Choose one that’s modern and glamorous to create a space that’s both beautiful and luxurious. Make use of matte You want your master bathroom to be luxurious, but not old-fashioned. Adding a modern touch of matte to your space will immediately give it a contemporary feel. Matte black taps are the perfect way to add boldness to your bathroom without having to introduce hard-to-handle colours or consider matte tiles for an edgy yet elegant finish. Take advantage of luxurious tubs If you like long soaks, you can’t go past a fancy bathtub. Choose a tub with water jets and a sleek look to completely transform the feel of your bathroom. For a tub you’ll never want to leave, look for something like the Deep Freestanding Bath by Paco Jaanson, or for something more subtle, turn to Forme’s simple and elegant selection. Crystal Bathrooms can source any tub you’d like, so you’re well on your way to turning your master bathroom into an in-home day spa. Seating When it comes to master bathroom ideas, there’s nothing more lux than adding a seating option to your master bedroom. A seat is both practical and chic. Add a chair to your vanity for easier morning routines, or add a plush ottoman for serious luxury. Consider buying seating in an accent colour to add a touch of energy and pizzazz. Mirror, mirror on the wall Knowing how to style the walls of your master bathroom can be a challenge. Why not turn a bathroom essential into a stunning piece of art? Every bathroom needs a mirror, but opt for one that’s large, intricate, or framed and you’ll find that your practical bathroom mirror has just added a new layer of aesthetic. Not only will it add luxury, but it’ll also make your bathroom space seem bigger! Shower yourself with luxury Bathtubs may be known for their beauty and class, but

Luxury Bathtubs that Continue to Inspire Modern Bathroom Designs

    July 6, 2017
Let’s be honest, your bathroom is far more than a place for your plumbing. It’s your space to prepare yourself for the morning and unwind at night. And there’s no better place to unwind than soaking in a steamy bathtub. You might be surprised by how far the bathtub has come, and how it’s still inspiring us to create beautiful and contemporary bathroom renovations today. The Bathtub Through the Ages Humankind’s first bathtubs were, predictably, basic. Forget sleek designs, high walls, and water that heats up on command. Centuries ago, you might only find private baths in the homes of the rich, since public baths were a common part of social life. Even as private baths became more popular in people’s homes, they were made of materials like copper, tin, and even hardened pottery. Fast-forward a few centuries, and the private bathtub has evolved into beautiful bathroom essentials. We’ve traded in tin and copper for porcelain, acrylic, and even luxurious stone. The humble bathtub has grown into the luxury must-have in homes across Australia. Popular Tubs in Australia It’s no secret that luxury is winning out in Australian bathrooms. Many bathroom renovations in Sydney are built around the bathtub, creating rooms that are used for much more than getting ready for the day. 1. The Deep Freestanding Bath by Paco Jaanson Freestanding bathtubs are some of the most popular in Australia, and the Deep Freestanding Bath by Paco Jaanson is just one example. These baths are built with absolute relaxation in mind, and because they are deeper than most other tubs, you can sink right in and stay a while. 2. The Cube Back-To-Wall Freestanding Bath by Caroma The Cube Back-To-Wall Freestanding Bath by Caroma connects to the wall on one side. Bathtubs that are integrated into at least one wall makes them perfect for bathroom renovations that are a little tight on space but still want a serious touch of luxury. 3. Adatto Contour Spa Bath by Decina For those looking to enjoy the luxuries of a day spa in the comfort of their own home, Decina’s range of spa baths is the way to go. Complete with armrests and water jets, you won’t have a worry in the world from the water of this tub. 4. Noir Freestanding Bath by Caroma The Noir Freestanding Bath is perfect for bathroom renovations that want to make a bold and contemporary statement. Featuring a sleek black colour, this bathtub will leave your guests impressed every time. 5. Plunge 1500 by Forme Any bathroom renovation in Sydney that’s looking for a classic elegance should turn their eyes toward Forme’s collection of sophisticated tubs. Clean, classic, and well designed, these tubs bring style to simplicity. The Importance of the Tub Bathrooms in Australia are starting to blur the line between day spa and home bathroom, and that’s all thanks to the luxury of the modern bathtub. If you’re considering a bathroom renovation, you simply can’t go past a good tub. A bathtub comes

5 Top Reasons To Renovate Your Bathroom in 2017

    January 31, 2017
Believe it or not, your bathroom is one of the most used rooms in your house. All household members use the bathroom at one point or another during the day, so it’s important to make sure your bathroom is in proper working order. At Crystal Bathrooms we love the aesthetic appeal and feel of an updated bathroom. To kick off 2017 with a bang, we have put together a list of the top five reasons of how your home and bathroom will benefit from a renovation. Renovate your bathroom in 2017 and take advantage of some of the following timeless benefits. 1. Increase home value This may seem like an obvious point but it is something that homeowners can very easily overlook. Renovating your bathroom is a great way to increase the value of your home. Bathrooms can easily become dated so taking the time to renovate your bathroom into something modern will help increase the price of your house come sale day. 2. Outdated This point relates to the previous point, increasing home value. Older styled bathrooms can feel very dated and with styles always changing, leaving a bathroom untouched for a number of years will ensure it loses its overall appeal. Remember the pink and blue bathrooms that were so popular over 20 years ago? Yep, that style is truly outdated and not something that many people would be proud to show off to visiting guests. At Crystal Bathroom, we work with Ceder and Suede to build timeless bathroom designs that will outlast most typical designs. We’re able to work with you and guide you through the design processes so that you end up with a bathroom design that you’re proud to show to family and friends. 3. Fix any underlying problems Renovating your bathroom is a great way to ensure that any underlying problems are fixed. Your bathroom has a lot of water and moisture moving through it so it is important to make sure everything is properly waterproofed, without doing this properly you may find you have a rot problem. Anything you want changed can easily be updated without any extra hassle, starting from scratch will allow you to make sure you won’t have any problems in the future.  4. Simply want a change It can become boring and overwhelming if you are unable to change a room within your house. New tiles, paint and bathroom accessories can positively affect the way you feel about your house. Your bathroom should be a place you can relax and unwind after a long day and not feeling good about the space you are in will have the opposite effect. At Crystal Bathrooms, we can help makeover your bathroom to a room you will never want to leave. With the help of Lustre FX, we’re able to create a range of feature aspects with different wall finishes providing your bathroom with unique, modern and absolutely gorgeous backdrop features. 5. 5 Common Bathroom Renovation Mistakes & How To Avoid Them

    January 30, 2017
Upgrading your bathroom is one of the most exciting decisions you can make as a homeowner. There is no better feeling than standing back and gazing over all of the new fixtures and fittings. At Crystal Bathrooms we love to see the smile on our customers’ faces when they see their new bathroom for the first time. Although, over the years we have heard some horror stories about people attempting their own bathroom renovation. In this post, we cover the top 5 common mistakes that DIY bathroom renovation lovers make and the difference of hiring a professional company. 1. Planning is key This is something we hear about way too often. Going into a bathroom renovation without any planning is a disaster waiting to happen. Preparation is key and without that you are risking a whole lot of drama and financial expense further down the line. At Crystal Bathrooms we plan everything for you, we are the experts in bathroom renovations after all. Our team are well versed in all aspects of bathroom design and planning and know exactly what to do before any work starts on a new bathroom. With the added option of working with Cedar and Suede, we’re able to plan extraordinary designs and ensure the renovation process is completely smoothly and without fuss. 2. You Want To Save Money We understand that you want to save money and that DIY seems to be the best answer. Unfortunately, we have seen the result of a combination of enthusiasm and lack of skill one too many times! There is a reason why tradesmen have to spend multiple years learning and perfecting their trade. Only fully qualified tradies should be touching your bathroom so before you get to carried away, put the tiles down and give Crystal Bathrooms a call. Our team are fully qualified experts who ensure your bathroom renovation is done thoroughly and to the highest standards. Risking a DIY job can work out to cost you more money if you need to repair or replace anything after the renovation is completed. 3. Quality is Key Another way DIY renovators tend to try and save is by choosing lower quality products. While this may work in other parts of the house, it doesn’t work in the bathroom. Your bathroom is the most used rooms in your house and generally, you will want your renovation to last roughly 10 years. Using lower quality fittings and fixtures that wear out will be of no use to your new bathroom. At Crystal Bathrooms we ensure we only use the best quality products available. This will increase the life of your bathroom and keep it looking great for years to come. 4. Have a Clear Vision This point comes back to planning and preparation. If you think you can chop and change ideas during your bathroom renovation think again! Changing things on the fly will result in mistakes and a budget blowout. Making mistakes or changing your mind during a renovation can cause

    Thinking Of Selling Your Property?

    March 11, 2015
Do Not Spend More Than You Can Recoup – Sure, this seems obvious, but you’ll be amazed how many people decide to throw vast amounts of money into a house that they will never again enter for the rest of their lives. Why spend $4,000 on new flooring if the resale value is less than that? However Kitchen and Bathrooms remodelling should be Priority #1 – Any big expenses should go into the kitchen and bathrooms over other rooms. Why? Potential Buyers: Considering that the kitchen and bathroom are two of the most common rooms to remodel, homebuyers will look at these rooms first. They almost always check your bathroom as thoroughly as any other room in the house. They are going to check the water pressure. They are going to check around the toilets. They are going to check the lighting and natural sunlight that comes through in the morning. They are going to look at it all so you better have a “wow” factor before putting it on the market. On the other end of the spectrum, if you are staying in your home, you want your bathroom to have a personal touch. This is the only room you will probably step into every day (we hope, unless you are on vacation), so it should feel and look as comfortable as your master bed. If you are choosing to update your master bathroom, feel free to step on the creative side. Not many outsiders will be viewing this part of the household so you have the creative freedom to make any update you ever imagined. Don’t be shy when it comes to perhaps the most trafficked room in the house. Increase your home value: Industry professionals, like Marie Leonard, home improvement expert and author of Marie’s Home Improvement Guide say “As far as getting a return on your investment, the best money is in upgrading or remodelling your bathroom or kitchen,” Leonard said. “All the realtors will tell people that you have the greatest chance of getting your money back on those two.” The most used room: Your bathroom should be a peaceful relaxing place which is visited numerous time throughout the day. Why not make it feel truly awesome and bring it up to scratch.

    The Linear Drain Craze

    April 21, 2014
Linear drainage not only looks great but functions even better. Allowing the drain to be positioned not only centrally, but against the wall or as a threshold. The elimination of complex floor grades ensures improved drainage and faster installation by simplifying tiling and eliminating complicated angle cuts. They are stainless steel and do not rust. Less grout to clean Lighting options for added sparkle Higher flow rates Harder to block the drain opening if you fall or the kids stand on your current drain There benefit to design is unparalleled. The imported stainless steel drains area great cost effective options. We at Clientel Developments recommend the linear grill drains as opposed to the tile insert drains for adequate water flow. However both do work. Pre-set sizes are fine and you can consult your builder what size fit best. Alternatively custom sizes are available but incur an additional cost.

    Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication

    March 12, 2014
Dark walls, light floors. Neutral colours. This design principle will ensure your bathroom does not date and will be timeless. You can accessorise to suite your taste. Taking the neutral approach will mean if you are thinking of re sale or renting down the track you will not offend anyone and you will be open to a much larger market. In 10 years’ time your bathroom will still look great. Company director Mr Tony Younan prides himself of ensure this principle is presented to all clients. While it may not be for all it is given as an option. Our bathroom designer Julie Elleson agrees. “Bathroom that are timeless feel fresh and you can accessorise to suite your mood. If you have white walls jazz it up with some colourful towels and even bring some plant life into the room. The potential with a neutral bathroom is endless.”

    Laser Level Tiling

    March 5, 2014
Our tiling as of the last 3 years is all done on laser level. Do you think that laser levels are a bit of a gimmick? They’re like a chalk line level and plumb bob rolled into one. We use a laser square for planning your tile layout: Our tiler sets it on the floor and measures from the lines to see how your tile layout will work. And it’s perfect for actually setting tile too, because the lines won’t get covered by the waterproofing. They self-level and are the most accurate way of getting a square or plum line. Crystal Bathrooms’ site managers ensure our in house trades use only the finest laser levels. These devices are updated on a 12 monthly basis to ensure calibration is 110%. The lasers are perfectly safe to use.
