The team at Crystal Bathrooms are pleased to announce we have been selected as a finalist in the 2022 HIA Awards for our work on our Willoughby East project.

Our client came to us wanting to renovate their guest bathroom, which was a cold, uninspiring space that lacked the warmth of the rest of the house. The Crystal Bathrooms design team were able to work with the client to transform the area into a stunning space our client and their guests will love using for years to come.

The Design

The design brief from our client was to create a bathroom that was modern and contemporary, while at the same time sophisticated – without changing the layout of the current bathroom. The space needed to be bright, warm and inviting. Timber also had to be a feature in the room to help add to the warmth of the room. Round shapes and an open shower were requested to create a more open space.

To achieve the desired outcome, we were able to leave the bathroom layout the same but gave the room a total makeover. This included expanding the shower area into a double shower with gold brushed tapware, a feature wall with penny round Norway rose honed mosaic tiles, a very generous sized timber vanity topped off with a Sphere LED and demister round mirror. These elements combined give the bathroom the feeling of unlimited space as well as a luxury touch through the use of gold and rose features on the tapware and feature wall.

Reece fittings and fixtures are featured heavily throughout the renovation to meet the expectation that the client laid out. Beaumont Tiles was also used for all the tiling throughout the room, including the visually impressive feature wall. 

The Result

Overall, this bathroom is a clever construct of materials that combine to create a visually stunning space for visitors. It’s modern and sophisticated as well as welcoming and inviting. Most importantly our client loved everything about the new space, saying it was exactly as she had envisioned.

Being nominated as a 2022 HIA Awards finalist for this job has been a rewarding experience, proving that the hard work the team at Crystal Bathrooms put into every one of our jobs is appreciated and acknowledged.
